Character Development

With a strong virtues foundation from our Early Learning Center program, elementary students begin to take more ownership of how their actions can serve the community. Students practice self-awareness, self-management, and responsible decision-making, as well as International Baccalaureate Learner Profile attributes aligned with our core values of caring, unity, excellence, service, and respect. 

Daystar Academy students are effective communicators, empowered learners, principled citizens, global contributors, and critical thinkers. Character development is woven into every class as part of a year-long unit of inquiry.  Morning and afternoon class meetings also provide opportunities for individual reflection and community building. 

With this framework, we provide our students with the foundation to become compassionate global changemakers.
