We emphasize–and strive to live–five core values every day at Daystar Academy: Unity, Respect, Caring, Excellence, and Service.

Active Service

Our traditions underscore these values, like our annual “Week for Change” that empowers students–from Early Learning Center to Secondary–to raise funds for various causes. During the winter holiday season, the annual “Shoebox Drive" at our Beigao campus also provides a great opportunity for our students to bring joy to other children.  At our Sanlitun Campus, the student-run Charity Club has also begun various initiatives to help the community.

Distinguished Speaker Series

Ivy Education Group and Daystar Academy serve our students and the surrounding community with inspiring educational talks and panel discussions that equip parents with the best tools and knowledge to support their children.

With professional Chinese and English translation, these high-quality events take place 2-3 times throughout the school year.  Past topics include:Finding the Superhero in Your Child, How to Raise a Bilingual Child, Unlock the Passion in Your Child, and My Educational Journey to Harvard, featuring Harvard University's most prestigious a cappella group, the Harvard Krokodiloes.

For many parents, Daystar's Distinguished Speaker Series is the premier, must-attend educational series.

Giving Back 

Daystar Academy and Ivy Schools, under the umbrella of Ivy Education Group, believe strongly in the importance of community and giving back.  

Several times in the past few years, Ivy Education Group has hosted the ‘A Night to Remember' Charity Concert, featuring a cappella groups from Ivy league schools.

These concerts, and their silent auctions, have raised over 300,000 RMB to support migrant students and children with medical needs.
